United We Stand-Divided We Fall

Let's talk for a moment about hate groups and what it is to be racist. Those who feel that all Caucasians must be politically correct, well, you may want to leave now.

To begin with, the actual definition of the two topics of today's blog:

A hate group is an organized group or movement that advocates hate, hostility, or violence towards members of a race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation or other designated sector of society.

and

Racism is the belief that the genetic factors which constitute race are a primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race.[1] As a practice, it means the same thing as racial discrimination[citation needed]. In the case of institutional racism, certain racial groups may be denied rights or benefits, or receive preferential treatment.

A hate group, is a hate group, is a hate group- the end. It does not matter what race or group you are for or against, hate groups are all evil.
The KKK is no worse than the Nazi skin heads, and neither are any worse than the Black Panthers, the NAACP, etc....
If you can not promote on group of people without dowing another- it is a racist activity, the end.
You can not blame one group for the downfalls of another. If one group is more poverty stricken, less educated, and less employed, look within your group for your own flaws, do not blame them on someone else. We all have free will. We all rejoice from our accomplishments, but are so swift to blame anyone we can for our short comings-

If it is okay to have home loans and college funds for one race, it is okay for any race. You can not pride yourself in the United Negro College fund if you would appose a fund strickly for whites, jews, or homosexuals. How ever, if you happen to be a mixed Jewsish gay- you should be able to go to any college for free, for you are the ultimite minority.kudos...rock your uniqueness.

If you can be proud of your heritige, applaud anyone that is proud of their own. If their is a black heritige month and a latino heritage month, then by God, there should be one for atleast the other 10 months left in the year- this includes a Caucasian heritage month, and native american.

Speaking of Native American's; if anyone in this country has a right to feel downed and "surpressed by the man" it is the Natives. All cultures have invaded their land, ruined it's resources, and filled it with hate. (And you can not use the slave excuse for being here- you have been a free race for sometime...if you don't like it, see if Africa will buy you back)

Also, if you are an illegal in this country- You do not matter. Not your needs, your wants, your dreams... If you can commit a crime and not get charged for it since you do not exist in our system, then it seems like an American citizen should be able to kill the hell out of you and it not count since you equally- do not exist in our system..... correct?
If you would like to live in America, do it properly, take the citizenship test in English, and do not attempt to come here until you learn our language. If migrants from all over the world can do it, you can to or else- No stay, Jose.

All in all, United we stand, divided we fall. Until we stop screaming black, white, or of hispanic decent- and just be American, we will continue to crumble.

  1. As a second generation Yugoslavian American, I straddle this issue. My grandfather came to this country at the young age of 10 yrs old with an older brother, with very few belongings & no idea what was in store for him, he just wanted a better life, like most entering this country whether illegal or legal. He left behind parents, a life as he knew it & a childhood. He came here & worked in the coal mines. Back then they sent the foreigners in to see if the gas levels were ok, if the foreigners came out well, the levels were safe. My grandfather could not speak English, no one changed anything for him, he had to learn it, just as the Italians, the Cezks, the Hungarians, the Poles, the Germans, the Romanians & every other foreign group to come to this area & this great land. My grandfather had to Americanize his name, believe it or not "muovich" is not the slavic spelling, & still it gets tore up. So, we have another last name we go by in these parts for the ones that couldn't pronounce the americanized version. To this day I don't know if my grandfather was an American citizen. He entered the country legally, he worked, he paid taxes, but no one has ever said anything about him becoming a citizen. He just wanted to get out of a war torn country, he just wanted a better life, he just wanted to have what he wouldn't have had he stayed in his native land. So, as I said I straddle the issue. I try not to get in debates with people. A yr ago a very good friend & his wife & I were talking & she brought up the immigration issue. She is hotheaded on the issue & very opinionated. There he & I sat. With our mouthes closed, listening. You see his grandfather & my grandfather were on that boat together as young boys & they were friends at that time & remained friends up till the end of their lives, my dad & his mom went all through school together, he & I grew up together as well & are like brother & sister to this day. Neither one of us would be here if our grandfathers hadn't left their country for a better life. But, no one changed anything for them.

  2. Eventually, he told her to drop it that being decendants of immigrants that's a touchy issue for us, nope she couldn't stop, she went on about how back then blah blah, again he told her that we have a history & are very proud of our heritage & if not for our immigrant grandfathers we wouldn't be here. So, yes alot I do agree on. But, I can't fault people for wanting to leave a land where they have no future & there is nothing there for them or their family. I could be looking at this wrong. My grandfather didn't get a handout from anybody, he worked his butt off in the mines at a very young age, he met my granny got married & had kids, grandkids, etc. I don't agree with the "push 1 for English" I am in an English speaking country that should be a no brainer. I don't have a problem with immigrants using their own language to speak to each other, I use to then realized, after trying to learn a foreign language if I did move to a foreign country that I would prolly use my english to communicate with same speaking people. But I would have to use the native tongue to speak to the natives.
I don't write this to debate. I wrote this to kinda give you an idea of where those of us who are quiet on this issue might be sitting. We are straddling because this kinda hits close to home for some of us. This country was founded by people seeking refuge from other countries. I do understand peoples arguments against illegal immigrants but on the other hand I do understand why people would want to flee a country to come here. I don't think we should use up resources for immigrants, I think our people should come first, we have far too many people in dire need of help they can't get. I just needed to give my perspective from being a 2nd generation yugoslavian american & my son is 3rd generation, granted his bloodline is not as much as mine but he carries my last name.
Your piece is well written & thought provoking. You did an excellent job & I think you should pursue writing more seriously. You once told me you wanted to become involved in non-profit groups. Well, be the voice for the voiceless, speak for those they can't, write it out loud for everyone to read. Writing is powerful, keep it up!
